The Team

Kianna received a B.A. in Applied Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University in 2009.

In May 2017, she received a Master of Public Health with a concentration in community

prevention and education in underserved communities from La Salle University.

Kianna is a Healthy Start Program Manager at Maternity Care Coalition. In this role, she

supervises and provides support to her team delivering home visitation services to pregnant

women and families with a wide range of health and social services to reduce infant mortality

and poor birth outcomes. Through her continuous work in public health, she has identified a

great need in Philadelphia for a more supportive structure for parent-child to promote optimal

child development.

 

Kianna is a certified Childbirth Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Childbirth Educator.

She is the Founder of Earthside Village, LLC which has a mission to provide direct care to Black

and Brown mothers and children to reduce maternal mortality and assist families in having the

birth they desire.

Outside of the office, she is committed to raising her two daughters, engaging in self-care

through reading, exercising, cultivating her passion for writing children’s books, and becoming

proficient in biostatics and data visualization, and educating the community through financial

literacy as a personal financial coach.
